An example of Structured Peer Conversation is a process for grouping students in order to allow for academic conversation, social interaction, and peer thinking.

As a teacher leader, my goal is to support and grow other teachers, leading to an impact in positive student outcomes. Model instructional strategies and resources. Train peers and facilitate opportunities to practice skills.
As a teacher leader,my responsibility is to clearly and effectively communicate information to groups of peers and successfully build positive relationships with peers and school leaders. Discern and share high-impact instructional strategies and resources. Model instructional techniques and train peers in implementing those techniques Lastly, plan for interactions with students and teachers. At Sugar Grove Academy (SGA) Middle School, our purpose is to build positive relationships with students, parents, and the community. SGA will educate the whole child by meeting students where they are with individualized support. SGA encourages and motivates students to do their best, in an effective learning environment, to socially and academically prepare students for higher learning! Our School Improvement Plans (SIP), First, to increase student attendance by 98 percent. Second, meets expectation on the student performance domain and establish growth in all sub population. Finally, build positive relationship with parents and students. The fundamental purpose is to create rigorous levels of learning for each child in every classroom so that students can be college and career-ready upon leaving Sugar Grove Academy (SGA). Thus, It prepares students to successfully engage in any social, academic, or extracurricular opportunities that advance students in life. Sugar Grove Academy believes in Excellence is the standard. Faculty uses assessment data at multiple pints throughout the year to reassess student skill levels and refine annual student learning goals. District level assessments, teacher-made tests, , and alike are basis to drive instructions. Our community partner, collaborate and corroborate with our 6th grade core teachers for additional data to enhance literacy instructions on the reading level of each student. The Texan-French Alliance for the Arts, offers ones a week after-school program to empower children and teachers in at-risk environments by building resilience and self-reliance and inspiring hope and peace through education and positive interaction. The Beginning of the year assessment plays a significant role in planning lessons, instructions,resources and strategies to use to drive instructions. Students use tracking form to track their own progress, meeting unit objectives and learning goals. They are also taught to analyze their test results. Teachers use assessment data at multiple points throughout the year Pre-approved assessments are also considered in data analysis as well as STAAR released tests and teacher-made tests. |
